In 1939 the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) responsible for research, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage of the country is created; As well as the training of specialists. It is a decentralized agency of the federal government with its own legal personality and dependent on the Ministry of Culture. The Museum of the Revolution on the Border is part of the network of 121 museums that INAH operates throughout the country and has a scheme of work with civil society through the Friends of the MUREF Board, an organ of the National Institute Of Anthropology and History. The Museum of the Revolution on the Border tells the historical events that took place in Ciudad Juarez during the first two decades of the 20th century during the revolutionary movement against Porfirio Díaz. Through 9 themes of the MUREF permanent exhibition shows why juarenses are heirs and legal representatives of a prestigious past.

The MUREF auditorium has an area of ​​110 square meters with a capacity of 80 to 90 people in auditorium arranged auditorium type. It is equipped with sound system, HD projector and projection screen besides being acoustically isolated for the convenience of the users.

Bilingual Museum English/Spanish

The Museum of the Revolution on the Border communicates the history that Mexicans share with the southern United States, particularly with the states of Texas and New Mexico.

With the intention of transmitting our shared history and given the proximity of the MUREF to our neighboring country of the north, MUREF presents its bilingual English-Spanish exhibition tour permanently.
The MUREF also has audio guides in English-Spanish that allow a better understanding of the tour.

The building of the Museum of Revolution on the Border is located between Av. 16 de Septiembre and Av. Juárez in the Historic Center of Ciudad Juarez.


Option 1:
